New Bioluminescent Cell Based Assays to Measure All Three Proteasome Protease Activities

Here we describe two new cell-based assays for the trypsin-like and caspase-like protease activities of the proteaseome. These "add-mix-measure" luminescent assays are sensitive enough to measure proteasome activity directly in multiwell plates.
